Samu Courier and Shipping

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using any service provided by Samu Courier and Shipping, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with our services, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full. Continued use of our services constitutes ongoing acceptance.

2. Scope of Services

Samu Courier and Shipping provides courier and logistics services, including but not limited to:

  • Domestic and international shipping (where applicable)

  • Air and sea freight services

  • Package pickup services

  • Home and office delivery services

  • Warehousing and package handling

  • Third-party courier services where necessary

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time without prior notice.

3. Shipping Schedule

Shipping schedules are provided as estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to:

  • Customs processing

  • Weather conditions

  • Carrier or airline delays

  • Government inspections

  • Other unforeseen circumstances

4. Service Areas

We operate primarily within Clarendon, including:

  • May Pen and surrounding communities

Free delivery is offered within and around May Pen town
🚚 Delivery to other areas may incur additional charges or be handled via third-party couriers.

5. Pickup Location

All pickups are facilitated from:

📍 35 Donald Avenue, Effortville, May Pen, Clarendon

6. Responsibility, Risk & Liability

All shipments are transported at the customer’s own risk.

Samu Courier and Shipping assumes limited liability for loss, damage, or delay.

We are not responsible for:

  • Vendor or supplier errors

  • Incorrect shipping information provided by customers

  • Packages lost before reaching our facility

  • Damage caused during third-party handling

  • Delays beyond our control

Responsibility begins when the package is received by us and ends once it is delivered or handed to a third-party provider.

7. Packaging & Fragile Items

We are not responsible for damage caused by poor packaging.

Fragile items (including but not limited to):

  • Electronics

  • Glass items

  • Liquids

  • Cosmetics

are shipped entirely at the customer’s risk.

8. Prohibited & Restricted Items

Customers must ensure all items comply with local laws.

🚫 Prohibited items include:

  • Illegal drugs or substances

  • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons

  • Explosives or hazardous materials

  • Counterfeit goods

  • Pornographic materials

  • Perishable goods

  • Live animals

  • Cash or negotiable instruments

Any prohibited items will be confiscated and reported without refund.

9. Customs, Duties & Fees

Customers are responsible for:

  • Customs duties

  • Taxes

  • Government fees

We are not responsible for delays, seizures, or penalties imposed by customs authorities.

10. Payments

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Cash

  • Bank transfer

  • Other approved payment methods

All payments must be made in full before processing.

Payments are non-refundable once shipment processing has begun.

11. Delivery Policy

  • Delivery is available to homes and offices

  • Free delivery applies only within May Pen town

  • Customers must ensure availability to receive packages

Failure to receive delivery may result in additional charges.

12. Claims & Complaints

All claims must be submitted within 48 hours of receiving the package.

Claims must include:

  • Proof of shipment

  • Photos (if applicable)

⚠️ WhatsApp messages may be used for communication but must be clearly stated as a formal claim.

13. Storage & Uncollected Packages

  • Customers must collect packages promptly after notification

  • Packages left beyond 7 days may incur storage fees

  • Packages uncollected after 30 days may be disposed of or sold to recover costs

14. Cancellations

Cancellations must be made prior to shipment processing.

Fees may apply depending on the stage of the shipment.

15. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates take effect immediately upon posting.
